The Edge Ultra100 is, by far, the brightest canister light in the world, boasting an incredible 9000 Lumens of light from a single 100 watt LED. The output of the 100 watt LED would be comparable to a 150 watt HID, or a 600 watt Halogen. Like all our products, it is built to the highest standards of durability and craftsmanship. It is an extremely serious piece of equipment designed for the diver that simply wants the best. Although the beam angle is fairly wide, at 80 degrees, the massive light output makes any dark environment seem like daylight. It also features wet connections between the light head and the canister, allowing the use of additional battery canisters. The feature that sets our system apart form all others is the PWM, or 'Pulse Width Modulator', controller. Put simply, the LED is powered by flashing it several thousand times a second. This method is far better for the LED, and also allows for easier dimming of the LED. The canister is also completely sealed, with no latches. This feature ensures there is almost no chance of a leak. The battery is charged by simply plugging one cable into the bulkhead on the bottom of the canister, and another cable into the bulkhead on the top of the canister.
