Well, it's mostly waterproof. This bag was manufactured in 2002 and is NEW, but has two flaws that I can see. One is a small, partial tear on the webbing of the top cinch strap. Th other flaw is that the rubberized waterproofing that is on the inside of the bag on a 2" stretchable area surrounding the zipper is coming off. I have attempted to show both flaws in the photos. Otherwise, this is a gear bag with awesome features and is worth $100.

• Carry handles gather together with a padded velcro close handle
• 2 adjustable, padded backpack handles metal clips can be quickly unclipped and stored in a zippered compartment
• Adjustable, 1" cinch strap with quick release buckle for added strength
• Shewn in loop runners on both backpack straps allow for numerous tie-offs and clip-offs.
• Padded, removable shoulder carry strap w/ metal clips both ends.
• Two padded, external, zippered side pockets 12" x 8"
• Large external mesh pocket for gloves, hood, etc.
• Rubberized, heavy duty handles on both ends.
